Part Time Toddler Montessori Program

Programme Offering: Morning 9:00 -11:30 am and 1:00 -3:30 pm
Start Date:	September 2011	Ages Served:	1.5 -2.5 years

As an introduction to Cornerstone Montessori Prep School, our part time toddler programme will provide a faith based nurturing environment in which young children will begin their interaction and understanding of the world around them with personal support, respect and dignity.  It is at this time that toddlers begin to explore their own imagination, creativity and intellectual curiosity through experiential learning.  Acquiring language becomes a natural process which will be fostered by many opportunities to join in conversations, talking and listening to stories, singing songs and learning how to express themselves by identifying familiar objects around them.   Music and movement will enhance their listening and participation skills while providing room for physical and sensorial movement with musical instruments, sound and rhythm. 

Many of the activities in our toddler programme will highlight the nurturing of self help skills as guided by the Montessori elements that involve practical life skills, sensorial awareness, language and numeracy development.  Toilet Training remains an important part of the child’s personal well being, however parents need to understand that it is a progressive process and requires much patience and support.  We encourage parents to begin this process by providing their toddlers with pull ups or diapers depending on the individual child’s progress.   We are here to support you in your parenting skills as you are there to support us in the early development of your child’s learning experience with us at Cornerstone.  We strive to provide a positive, stimulating and encouraging environment for your young child.

Additional Information:

	What to Bring: Parents are to provide a tote bag to include 2 sets of clothing plus an appropriate quantify of diapers/pull ups so that your child will remain clean, healthy and comfortable.
