After School Programs for External Students

At our Don Mills Campus, we are pleased to make available limited spaces for external students to attend our After School Programmes which now include Ballet and Specialized Language Classes! Below are the details:

Homework Club

This club is offered to students for additional study and tutorial sessions from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. Our programme is led by our regular Montessori teachers who not only assist students with their daily homework but provide additional exercises to supplement.

The additional cost of this programme is being offered for a limited time at $225 per month. The minimum registration requirement is one month and cheques should be payable to "Cornerstone Montessori Prep School - Don Mills".

Please note we plan to offer a Mandarin language component to the Homework Club twice a week (or possibly more often). Please contact liana[at]cornerstoneprep[dot]ca if you are interested in this programme as we will require a minimum of 10 students to register for Homework Club with the Mandarin tutorial elective.

After Four+ Programme

Offered as an alternative to the Homework Club, the After Four+ Programme consists of supervised and organized games and music from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.

The additional cost of this programme is being offered for a limited time at $125 per month. The minimum registration requirement is one month and cheques should be payable to "Cornerstone Montessori Prep School - Don Mills".

Ballet Classes

As a new initiative, Cornerstone will offer a series of professional ballet classes for beginners for an initial 8 week course. These will be taught by certified, trained professional ballet instructors from Kidz N Motion, who follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which is what The National Ballet of Canada uses. The final class of the first series will be a recital to which the parents are invited to attend.

To begin, we need 6 students who will make a commitment for the first 8 weeks. Full payment will be needed before classes begin in order to start the series of classes otherwise it will have to be cancelled.

Class Dates: Fridays January 27-March 23 (excludes March Break)

Cost: $160 for 8 sessions (external students @ $240/8 sessions)

Full payment must be submitted to the school no later than January 19th in
order to confirm a place in this ballet class. If there is not sufficient interest, the class
will be cancelled and your cheques will be returned to you. All cheques are to be
made payable to “Cornerstone Montessori Prep School”

Mandarin and French Classes

As a new initiative, Cornerstone will offer a series of Mandarin and French Language classes for 8 week sessions from 4:00-6:00 Mondays to Fridays. These will be taught by certified, teachers from Cornerstone Montessori Prep School and will include a daily 45 minute language lesson followed by a variety of related activities for the second hour.

Sessions

A: Monday -Friday - January 23 -March 23, 2012 (excludes March Break)
B: Monday –Friday - April 16 to June 8, 2012

Time: 4:00-6:00 P.M

Cost: $750 for 8 weeks (external students @ $850/8 weeks)

Full payment must be submitted to the school no later than January 19th in
order to begin the session on January 23rd. There are no partial monthly payment for
this language programme. All cheques are to be made payable to “Cornerstone
Montessori Prep School” Receipts will be provided.

Transportation to Cornerstone Montessori Prep School - Don Mills

We have entered into a contract with Student Limo Services Ltd. to provide transportation from nearby schools to our campus for the Homework Club or After Four+ Programmes. This is the same company that drives some Cornerstone students to and from our Don Mills campus each day. Student Limo Services Ltd. also provides transportation for other schools such as Northmount and Willowdale Christian School. Please contact us at (416) 447-0011 to confirm we have a route for your child's school. If you have questions specifically for the transportation company, please call Norma Aziz, Transportation Coordinator at (416) 561-2723.

This service is being added at an additional cost of $100 per student per month.
